LARKFIELD GRAMMAR SCHOOL 

REUNION 2015

A reunion year like no other thanks to the influence of a much younger group of Larkfield Old boys and Girls, an event also attended by several older pupils. The impetus to arrange this get-together came from a group who style themselves as Larkfield Grammar School OAPs, the bulk of whom started their education at Larkfield sometime between 1960 and 1964. The driving force behind these OAPs is Stephen Cox [Year of ????] and I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for agreeing to let we 'oldies', the year of '58, join in the fun. I didn't do a head count on the night [over thirty attendees] and unfortunately we were all too busy chatting to get around to organising a group photograph! Silly me!. I will pay penance and try to gather in as many photographs of the evening as I am able and publish them alongside the images below.

Apologies were accepted from the Year of '58s,  Sharyn Moore, Peter Phillips, Rob Duncan, Ed Compton, Dennis Shepherd, Pam Corner, David Dunn, Liz German, Barbara Woodfield, Pauline Woodland [now, as of September 2015, Professor Pauline Found - congratulations Pauline] and Richard Stapley all of whom had to be in various other parts of the world that evening.

We all gathered in the bar area of the Beaufort Hotel, Chepstow, from about 7.15pm onwards and kept the conversations going until almost midnight. The proprietor of the Beaufort Hotel, thanks to a little persuasion from Jennifer Kiely [Year of '62],  allowed us to use the grill section of the restaurant in which to congregate and as this adjoined the main bar so it was perfect for our needs.
